Meeting of the Federal Minister of Physical Planning with Ministers of Cantonal Ministries responsible for spatial planning and construction

LivnoMr.sci. Salko Obhodjas, Federal Minister of Physical Planning held a working meeting with ministers of Cantonal Ministries responsible for spatial planning and construction and representatives of SPIRA USAID Project.
During the meeting, amendments and modifications to the Law on spatial planning and land utilization at federal level were discussed, as well as amendments and modifications of the cantonal laws referring to the spatial planning and construction. Participants in the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the activities undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning and Cantonal Ministries responsible for spatial planning and construction and accomplishments achieved accordingly.
The theme of the meeting was preparation and drafting of spatial planning documentation in the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning and respective Cantonal Ministries. Participants in the meeting informed attendees about existing spatial planning documentation, those currently being prepared and planned activities directed toward preparation of the spatial planning documents within their field of competence.
In the course of the meeting, participants exchanged experiences and information within the field of spatial planning, land utilization and construction. As agreed, the next meeting will take place in Bihac.

Working meeting  between the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning Delegation and the Delegation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction of the Republic of Croatia

zagrebThe Federal Ministry of Physical Planning delegation headed by the Minister, Mr.sci Salko Obhodjas visited the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction of the Republic of Croatia in Zagreb. The Delegation of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction was lead by Mrs. Marina Matulovic Dropulic.
During the working meeting, the delegations exchanged experiences within the competence of the respective ministries. Special attention was paid to law regulations on spatial planning and construction and their harmonization with the EU laws.
Finally, the significance of holding such meetings to exchange experience was underlined, and it was agreed to continue successful cooperation.

Mr.sci. Salko Obhodjas, Federal Minister of Physical Planning held a working meeting with ministers of Cantonal Ministries responsible for spatial planning and construction and representatives of SPIRA USAID Project.
bjelašnicaDuring the meeting, amendments and modifications to the Law on spatial planning and land utilization at federal level were discussed, as well as amendments and modifications of the cantonal laws referring to the spatial planning and construction. Following the opening address of the attendees, it has been  concluded that activities on amendments and modifications to the respective laws have been initiated by all ministries  and responsible authorities are expected to adopt them in the forthcoming year.
A presentation on 2008 activities regarding preparation of spatial planning documents falling under the competence of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been provided by the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning.
During this meeting, representatives of SPIRA USAID Project have suggested implementation of the new project   “A unique register of construction regulation related to approval for construction “and of activities of all respective ministries referring to establishment of register which would contain all laws and by-laws from the respective area in one place and their access via Internet would be provided to all stakeholders.  
In the course of the meeting, USAID SPIRA has provided a presentation on software regarding issuance of the electronic documentation and conducting procedure for approval of construction- a stage related to urban planning consent. This software will contribute to simplification of the procedure for issuance of urban planning consent and to efficient execution of requests.
The meeting stressed its importance aimed at exchange of information and mutual experience. As agreed, the next meeting will take place in Livno.
