Federal minister of physical planning M. Sci. Salko Obhodas signed Contracts for co financing of renovation and protection from further deterioration National monuments in Canton Srednja Bosna, namely for architectural complexes – Fortress in Jajce, Old Town in Travnik, Historical urban area Kresevo, historical site Old Town Prusac, Sarac’s House in Jajce, (the Finances Building), Franciscan monastery in Fojnica, Watch tower in Donji Vakuf and Old mosque in Senkovici.
Mr. Salko Selman prime minister of Canton Srednja Bosna, mayor of Fojnica municipality, and representatives of funds beneficiaries were also present on this ceremony that was held in Fojnica Town hall.
Planned funds for realisation of the projects for preservation and rehabilitation of above mentioned National monuments in 2008 are 1.099.000, 00 KM.
In order to protect, renovate and reconstruct monuments designed as National monuments of BiH by Decision of the Commission to preserve national monuments of BiH, Government of FBiH adopted Program of distribution of funds for co financing projects of cantons and local communities – cultural and architectural heritage protection. This Program defines individual projects of protection and renovation of National monuments in 2008, and also determines amount of funds provided for the above mentioned purposes.
In his opening speech Federal minister of physical planning M. Sci. Salko Obhodas emphasized importance of protection, rehabilitation and reconstruction of cultural and architectural heritage in BiH, and expressed resolution of the Government of FBiH to protect National monuments from further deterioration.
Prime minister of Canton Srednja Bosna, Mr. Salko Selman, expressed his satisfaction with activities of Federal government and of Federal minister of physical planning, directed towards protection and renovation of cultural and architectural heritage, not only in Canton Srednja Bosna but also on the entire territory of Federation BiH.
Conclusion of this meeting was to immediately proceed with implementation of granted projects in accordance with contracted obligations.
