MEETING WITH MAYOR OF ISTANBUL

PUBLIC ANOUNCEMENT

Federal minister of physical planning M.sci Salko Obhodas upon invitation of Mayor of Istanbul Mr. Kadir Topbas, visited Istanbul where he held meeting with Mayor and his associates. After opening speeches the topic of the meeting was national monuments in Istanbul and Bosnia and Herzegovina and experiences related to their protection, reconstruction and rehabilitation. Federal minister was informed on readiness of the City of Istanbul to support the project of inscription of Bascarsija in Sarajevo on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

Federal minister also visited City Planning and Development Centre where he was briefed on the work and the way of strategic planning in the centre. Presentation on the use of state of the art technological achievements in the process of preparation of planning documentation was performed in the centre, and representatives of Istanbul expressed willingness to provide help in the preparation of 3D model of the Old City of Mostar.
