Vitae
Born
on December 14, 1952 in Srebrenica. Elementary and secondary education
completed in his hometown.
From the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University in Maribor, Slovenia,
in 1979 he received bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
Earned
Master’s degree in Business Administration and Financial Management at CBA Academy,
Zagreb in 2005.
Also earned Master's degree in economic studies at the European University in
Belgrade in 2006. Doctorate dissertation is to be assessed in May 2011 at the
European University in Belgrade.
Used
to be employed with the High
Schools Center
in Bratunac as teacher since 1979. After he served his military service in
1980, in 1981 he gets employed with the company „Energoinvest“ Sarajevo -
Factory of Car Batteries Srebrenica, working as senior associate,
technologist-constructor, then as Director of the Maintenance Service and
Assistant Director for Development until 1983.
Duty
of the Director of the Factory of Tin Containers („Fabrika limene ambalaže“)
Srebrenica, under holding company „UPI“ Sarajevo,
performed since 1983 until 1992. In the period between 1992 and 1996 held the
position of the Director in the company „Corad“LLC Bajina Bašta.
In
1996 he was appointed a member of the Managing Board of the company
Elektroprivreda (electrical utility) of Republika Srpska, holding this position
for two years. In the period between 1998 and 2000 he reinstated on the
position of the Director of the Factory of Tin Containers („Fabrika limene
ambalaže“) Srebrenica. In 2000 he was appointed the Chairman of the Municipal
Council of the Municipality Srebrenica and carries out this position until
2002. Since 2000 he used to be Committee Member in the Assembly of Municipality
Srebrenica. For the mandate period 2002 – 2006 he was appointed Vice-President
of the Federation B&H. He was Representative in the House of the
Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation B&H since 2006, and
Minister of Trade in the Government of the Federation B&H from 2007 until
2011. On March 17, 2011 appointed to position of the Minister of Physical
Planning in the Government of the Federation B&H.
Worked on various projects as follows: Return Project of Bosniak
people to Srebrenica, UNDP Projects implementation in Srebrenica, Implementation
of projects for economic development of the Federation B&H, Implementation
of projects of the Dutch, Government for assistance and development of
Srebrenica Municipality, Social Involvement Project, Ireland, Renewing Sources
of Energy Project, Germany, Projects for finalizing of documentation and its
implementation of factories such as: Energoinvest Sarajevo, 11. mart, Sarajevo,
UPI Sarajevo. Finalizing projects of production and financial documentation for
various companies, as well as many other projects.
Attended
numerous profession-related and scientific seminars home and abroad in area of
economics.
Holds
the Certificate on successfully completed training course in area of business
plan preparation. For several times he was awarded acknowledgements for
rationalization of the production processes in the “Energoinvest” Sarajevo and
“UPI” Sarajevo, as well as other recognitions from the community for his
contributions to development of the Municipality Srebrenica.
Actively speaks English. Has passive
knowledge of German.
Actively uses MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet
applications.
Married, father of
three.
